About
SHEN has been more or less a one man show, partly by design and partly by circumstance, pretty much since its inception by yours truly back in 2006. As such, I've written, composed, arranged and produced every single track on SHEN's five albums to date. I've also sang and played guitars & keys in all.
That being said, I've also had the good fortune of having found a number of great musicians and artists to assist me with the recording & post-production work, each leaving their own unique stamp on the final product in the process.
Chief among these:
Tommy Mack: former frontman with Shifter and The Spirit Pushers and my main collaborator on the last three albums, Tommy's contributions go well beyond his catchy bass lines, not the least of which would have to be his versatility and wealth of experience in the studio;
Luc Mantha: drummer extraordinaire with Chino, James Correa and FFud and the most recent addition to the lineup, his great musical instincts and influence can readily be heard in the last couple of albums;
Reza: a classically-trained "orchestra-man" who played bass and handled all the programming & recording on the earlier records [Incidentally these were released under the now defunct "banner" of Fekrjadeed];
Kathy: who's done our last four album covers;
Anoush: did our very first album cover as well as some of the artwork seen on the old website;
Kamy: the creator and administrator of this site who tends to all our graphic/editing needs as well.
